Apple Watch 7 is likely to be big, but that might not be a good thing

The recent leakage suggested that Apple Watch 7 be bigger than the previous model, and now the new leak pointed in this direction.

Duani, Twitter users who are mostly dazzling leaks from Chinese social media, have done it, share images of what looks like a leather watch strap with the ’45mm’ text on it. This rope should be intended for Apple Watch 7.

For reference, Apple Watch 6 is present in 40mm and 44mm, so this will be a little bigger than the largest version of Apple Watch. If the other size leak is accurate, we can also see the 41mm Apple Watch 7, which will again be an increase in size in the previous model.

That said, we will take this latest leak with a lot of salt assistance. The rope shown may not be intended for watching apples, or 45mm text on it can be photographed.

We will be very careful about it because it is not clear who is the early leaker, or whether they have many footprint recordings. Duanrui for their part wants to emphasize that they do not have insider information and do not have LEAKER – they only post Chinese leaks that might be passed by the Western audiences.

However, we now have at least two sources that point to 45mm, and only one previous leak that seems to contradict this (suggest size 44mm again), so based on the available evidence, we will say the size increase is quite possible.

Opinion: bigger is not always better

While the trend with a smartphone is so that they are getting bigger, we are not sure Smartwatch must follow the same track. Most people may not want Chunky objects on their wrists – which add size and weight, when the watch must be more than the accessory you can forget.

Smart function requires a screen that you can interact with course, but at least so – you will mostly look at notifications, and with things like voice control and digital crown there isn’t too much tapping and swiping even when the user does it interact with it, it is the size Small doesn’t need a problem.

Of course, we are sure some people will enjoy an increase in size, if someone does come, and additional millimeters may not make a lot of differences for those who don’t want what can be used.

But this is not the first time Apple has increased the size of the smart watch, and it is a trend that we are not sure we want to continue – at least unless smaller options are also offered too.
