This time, for our weekly OTT recommendations, we have gone south — Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu, precisely. With theaters opened again with restrictions in many parts of the country, some Biggies are waiting to get to the cinema. But that does not mean the OTT platform is hunger.

Synopsis: Malayalam Cinema has a great record of mixing crime drama with comedy and presentation as Goofball entertainers. Pidiktapulli, which has occurred for some time, is included in the genre.

Jishnu Sreekandan’s debutant director said that this film would be a winding comedy. That means it is an error comedy and wrong identity, a type of film that is the famous Priyadarshan director.

Sunny Wayne who has emerged as a Bankable actor in several times must bring a film on his shoulder along with an intrinsic player handle with this type of film. This story has two arcs and they are converging and confusing as comedy capers.

Synopsis: Thimmaru is a remake of Kannada’s Birbal film. Director Sharan Koppisetty when attached to the original film, however, has cut the flab to serve interesting films. His previous release Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, a rebuilding film Malayalam Maheshinte Prathikaaram also received praise before.

This is a crime thriller film. The film revolves around the killing of taxi drivers and the search for heroes to find the real killer after an innocent man changes in this case. The film was released during the second wave of Covid, and still managed to become a hit.

Synopsis: A young man returned to his home town to take over Kalyana Mandapam’s family who had fallen in difficult times. The young man also had a problem with his father and they did not speak. Father, an alcoholic, has a problem with his wife. Dilapidated and dysfunctional family halls. The young man must arrange both. In the process, it is also in a complicated love relationship.

This story is given a typical Telugu mass treatment filled with comedy, songs, sentiments, and stipulated actions. This might be a formula, but also proved entertainment in these parts.
