Reflex SLR camera project appears to have come to an end

Anyone who follows a project that starts at Kickstarter knows that only because the project meets the purpose of funding does not mean the product will come to the market. Full history with the crowd-sourced funding project that raises the money that their developers need to build products only for products that never appear. This seems to be the case with the SLR camera project which was first funded at the end of 2017.

At that time, the project collected £ 100,000 through Kickstarter with the promise of carrying the first Manual SLR camera system to the market in 25 years. Note that this is not a DSLR; This is a real old school-based SLR camera. Unfortunately, the report shows the people behind the project have canceled it without limits after burning all the money raised on the Kickstarter without completing the project.

Besides being a new film camera, the magnitude claims for fame is a design that allows the lens and the camera back to be exchanged, allowing for greater adjustments. The idea of swappable back is that photographers can switch between various types of films, color and black-and-white, without having to complete the entire roll of films.

The project has 464 supporters, each promised £ 350. The project initially promised to provide a reflex SLR Camera in August 2018. That means the project is now three years past. The report showed one of the people behind the project, Von Thomas, recently held a public meeting with project support, told them 80 percent cameras were completed but could not be finished.

The main problem seems to find a shutter system for the camera. The team hopes to use the Sony shutter, but is stopped, and they do not have technical expertise to make one at home. It is not clear whether the investors will get their money back, but it is impossible.
