Twitter Ticketed Spaces is now rolling out to some iOS users

After remaining almost stagnant for several years, Twitter has taken his steps and began implementing major changes to his social platform, it might be driven by increasing competition. Some of the experiments have dropped, such as stories of short-lived stories. Twitter, however, is still banking on its new audio features to be profitable. Of course, it will only happen if there is actual money involved, and that is what the ticket room intended now that it is available for more users.

The space itself was “inspired” by the Clubhouse Hype last year which created a new type of audio-centric platform and channel. Many rivals clubhouses have quickly surpassed what the original can be owned, including monetizing the platform. Twitter opened his trick last June to prospective applicants, and now slowly opened the gate further.

With room ticketed, the host can sell tickets to make their exclusive events to choose followers. The feasibility for the host for the cost for tickets remains the same, including having more than 1,000 followers and hosting at least 3 spaces in the last 30 days. This feature is currently only available on iOS, which determines how many hosts can be made.

Twitter will take the commission after a 30% deduction that is usually needed Apple for purchases in the application. Social networks will only take 3% of the remaining 70% but will increase the “tax” to 20% if the creator produces more than $ 50,000 total profit from the room tickets and super follow.

Twitter does not provide a certain time line for broader availability of spaces, including on Android. This new feature does carry it a step closer to the goal of finally monetizing the network, but it still has to be seen whether it will be a profitable effort in the long run.
