TikTok teams up with Shopify to offer in-app purchases
When social trade is one of the fastest growing channels for Shopify traders, the e-commerce platform has announced a new partnership with Tiktok which will make it easier for entrepreneurs to reach new customers.
Merchant Shopify with Tiktok for business accounts will soon be able to add shopping tabs to their Tiktok profiles, synchronize their product catalogs and make mini-storeages that are connected directly to their online store to checkout.
Kylie Jenner will be one of the first entrepreneurs to test this new integration when he built his Kylie’s cosmetic business on social media and also enjoyed making short-form videos for his fans in Tiktok.
President Shopify, Harley Finkelstein provides further insight into the company’s new partnership in a press release, saying:

Marking Products in Tiktok Posts
Shopify and Tiktok also partnered to carry a product link to skyrocket traders that can be used to tag products in Tiktok organic posts.
With this feature, Tiktok users can choose to shop directly from the merchant shop or click on products marked in Tiktok Video Traders who will take them to the merchant online store to checkout.
Tiktok shopping pilots are currently available to slander traders located in the US and English. A group of certain traders in Canada will participate in the pilot in the coming weeks and from there, the feature will be launched into additional areas in the coming months.
Merchant Shopify who is interested in selling their products in Tiktok can request initial access to Tiktok shopping pilots by heading to the Tiktok Shopify channel.
