OnePlus Buds Pro snubs Google Fast Pair for its own solution

One of the forces of Oneplus has always been a commitment to a clean android experience, which has satisfied Android Purists to date. With Oxygenos 11, it seems that the company slowly starts away from that identity to set its own character, even if it means its own path. Basing Oxygeno in Coloro Oppo is one thing, but now it seems Oneplus is also willing to leave other general Android conventions, such as Google’s fast pair for Oneplus Pro shoots which will make it trivial to pair Earbuds with an Android phone.

To be fair, Google is not really consistent in Bluetooth related features in the first place. Fast pairs are just the latest iterations designed to simplify the installation process and even associate Bluetooth accessories to the same Google account. This must be a standard Android feature now, but all manufacturers are not on board.

Couples quickly use Bluetooth data and location to detect the nearest accessory and start the installation process quickly. The accessory can even be shared with other devices that enter the same Google account as the first paired cellphone. Both Tunas Oneplus and the Oneplus Z bird follow the features of this Staple Android, but the company has just been confirmed to 9To5Google that Buds Oneplus Pro will not.

Instead, Oneplus offers the same partner’s own solution as Google’s pair is fast. The difference is that it is only available on OnePlus phones, maybe with certain oxygeno versions too. You can still use buds on other Android phones, of course, but you have to go through a “normal” process to pair your phone and shoot.

Or, you can use the “Heymelody” application oneplus on another cellphone to immediately detect the Buds Oneplus Pro and pair up with it. You must install the application first, which means not instantly the pair is fast. Definitely disappointing to see Oneplus Ditch Android features that are more common than winning for it, especially when there seems to be no significant reason to go with its own way.
