European trials of the Ford E-Transit kickoff
Emission regulations increase throughout the world, encourage car makers to start building more electrical vehicles that are suitable for various needs. In Europe, several cities have hit commercial van users specifically because laws only aim to enable zero-emissions vehicles in several downtown. As a result, Ford works to produce a commercial van that runs on pure electricity called e-transit.
Car makers have announced that the electronic electronic van has started a trial with customers who operate the European fleet. The trial is taking place before the launch of the Ford volume which is expected for electric vehicles in the spring of 2022. The trial has placed electric vans with many operators in Europe, including the post, city, and shipping sector sectors.
Ford has a variety of e-transit models with different cabin and chassis conversion. Among the available models are van boxes, refrigerated trucks, tipper, and dropside bodies. The trial operates a fleet of ten e-transit prototypes that are being tested in what Ford calls intensively in the scenario of the real world operation. They are being tested in cities in Germany, Norway and England.
Ford counted several large companies among his trial partners, including the disposal of AWB waste, Balfour Beatty, Cologne City fleet, DHL Express in England, DPD, Norwegian post, Ocado, and restored Nordic. The fleet operator tests various variants of the van, including a normal van, double-cab-in-van, and cab chassis derivative weighing between 3.5 and 4.25 tons.
Experiments are the latest phase in the development plan for e-transit which is released from the car maker testing program on reasons and technical facilities that are proven throughout the world. The trial will see partners operating the e-transit prototype for a period of six or 12 months. The body of refrigerated boxes is very attractive and used for food delivery. It moves the refrigerator with a 2.3 kw proper proper system.
